Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with all of our Linux VPS servers and you can purchase a VPS running it in just 1 hour. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, which means that you'll be able to choose the one that you need if the software that you want to run on your hosting server has specific system requirements in this regard. You may also select if your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up with no Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you will be able to install anything through a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be set up on it, in which case you'll have a web interface and all necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, e-mail server, etc. software is pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more restricted, but such a installation is more suitable for users with less experience. We can also maintain your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis when you add our Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do this throughout the VPS order process or at any later time using your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
When the apps that you wish to run require Ubuntu and plenty of resources, you should select one of our dedicated service and add this OS to your order with a click. You will be able to choose between the 32-bit and the 64-bit release of your Operating System, based on which edition your apps need in order to function properly and to get the most of your server hardware. Since you'll have full root access, you will have full control over the software environment on your machine and you will be able to install anything you'd like. The Ubuntu-powered server does not feature a hosting Control Panel, which means that you can manage your content through a Secure Shell console, yet if you'd like, you can set up a third-party Control Panel and use a graphical interface to take care of your web sites. If you don't want to lose time managing your server, you can employ our Managed Services package, which includes numerous tasks performed by our sysadmins on your behalf. The package comes with regular updates of your Ubuntu OS as well.
